Shivapuri is a world’s closet National park from the Capital city. The Second highest hill near Kathmandu valley and granary of flora and fauna in this region makes a sense to visit to Shivapuri national park.Hiking to Shivapuri is a short and easy adventure near the capital, Kathmandu. Baghdwar is source of Holy River Bagmati flowing nearby Holy place Pashupatinath, which is suppose to come from mouth of Tiger. After breakfast at the nearby restaurant, we drive for about 20 minutes to Budhanilkantha Temple which is 8 km north of Kathmandu. After watching this temple Budhanilkantha we hike through Shivapuri conservation area exploring over 500 species. The southern boundary of the area Nepal army check post is located for security of national park. Nagi Gumpa is situated at an altitude of 2330 m north of Kathmandu just above Budhanilkantha Temple. This is only a famous Monastery for those Nuns practice in Buddhism and foreigners visiting for meditation. After lunch and strolling around for capturing the scene of monastery and vegetation around there, we take a short cut down hill trail to Kopan for about two hours and drive back to Kathmandu with joy on our cheerful faces. Nepal Eco adventure suggests the trail for cycling and for bird watching and Jungle safari.
Nagarkot is one of the famous and heart rendering viewpoints of Nepal near Kathmandu. Nagarkot - 7200 ft from sea level is the most popular hill station in around Kathmandu valley for screening most of the popular Himalayas. Himalayan peaks seen from the amazing viewpoint of Nagarkot are Ganesh Himal (7405m), Langtang, Shisha Pangma (8013m), Gang Chenpo (6397m), Dome Blanc (6830m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m), Lonpo Gang (7083m) and Purbi Chyachu (6658m), Gauri Shankar and Mt. Everest. Nagarkot to Changunarayan Hike is a popular hiking trail near Kathmandu valley. This trial led by our guide includes Bhaktapur on the way back to Kathmandu. Bhaktapur is a cultural city and a wish of all tourists to go there. The view of Sunrise over the Himalayas from Nagarkot is simply magnificent.
Changu Narayan is pleasant oldest Temple of Kathmandu valley dated back to 7th century and listed on the UNESCO world Heritage sites on the way back attraction of our trip. The downhill hike from Changunaryan to Cultural city Bhaktapur is downhill screening most of the majestic mountains and hills. The trail followed by Nepal Eco adventure in this tour is wide and easy to walk on as long as one is geared with hiking shoes. This ideal trip is one day trip but worth a month cultural tour to Nepal. We claim this for the reason that Bhaktapur to Nagarkot via Changunaryan is an exploration of Nepalese culture all the way.
A pilgrimage site having a Buddhist stupa and a Hindu shrine situated at an altitude of 2285 m south - west of Kathmandu serving good view of the combination of city and mountains (valley vista) is what we define as Champadevi. Hiking to Champadevi starts after we have a relaxing breakfast, we drive 16 km south from Kathmandu for an hour to a place called Pharping (on the way to Dakshinkali Temple). From here we start our hike gradually uphill for about half an hour. The trail toward the north ridge and through pine forested area provides fresh smell of wild roots. The tour is with packed lunch box due to no good restaurants over there. We continue hiking for about another 3 hours gradually uphill following the trail towards CHAMPADEVI. Langtang and Ganesh mountain range are expected view in clear seasons. The fusion in the view of central and western Himalayan Range is unbelievable to our eyes. After lunch, we stroll around for our wish and then continue hike downhill to Hattiban for 2 hours to catch our car and Drive back to Kathmandu to end our hike to Champadevi.
Begnas lake is 35 km east of tourist center at Phewa lake. Unlike Phewa, Begnas is more serene embraced in intact countryside lifestyle. Begnaskot is a ridge northeast of Begnas Lake overlooking at Himalayas. The hike is real insight into Nepalese mountain culture and lifestyle. Village along Sundari danda is trying to make a living hosting agricultural tourism. There is organic coffee farm house offering fresh coffee.
