Makalu Barun National park is
located in Eastern Nepal. It is the house of Mount Makalu (8463m),
fifth highest peak in the world and diverse
flora and fauna. It is in between the high plateaus of Tibet
and deep subtropical gorge carved by the Arun River. There are over
300 species of plants, 450 species of birds and 75 species of mammals
including clouded leopard, red panda and musk deer. The remarkable things
to see in this trekking is the lush and fascinating seen of Arun Valley,
waterfalls and the spectacular view of Mt. Makalu including Mt. Chamlang(7319m)
and Mt. Baruntsee(7129m).
